Ancient Egypt is not known for winter fashion. All drawings and statues showed us in summer clothing because of our beliefs in the afterlife. Ancient Egyptians believed when we pass on, our faces and bodies had to be easily recognized so they could join their loved ones in the afterlife. A cold artist in winter would be wearing heavy clothing, but draw themselves in minimal garments and long for beach days with their loved ones. Our people loved drawings so much, they included them in paintings, temples, and tombs, so why not clothing? Our designs captured our people’s love for drawings, delicate fabrics, and irregularly shaped cuts.
